About The Turkic World
The Turkic World Music Research Society has been established to scientifically research, document, and promote the rich musical cultures of the Turkic World.
Aim
Our society aims to bring together music researchers, academics, and students from independent Turkic republics such as Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as from autonomous regions such as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Yakutia under a common platform.






Our Objectives
· Preserving the musical heritage of the Turkic World and transmitting it to future generations,
· Developing collaborative research projects and producing scientific publications,
· Organizing academic events such as symposiums, workshops, and online seminars,
· Supporting young researchers and strengthening scientific communication.
· Our society aims to make lasting contributions to the field of Turkic musicology by uniting our cultural heritage on a common ground.
Presidency and Administration
Sehrana Kasimi serves as the Founding President of the Turkic World Music Research Society. She leads the society’s strategic vision, international collaborations, and scientific activities in the field of musicology across the Turkic World.
The society is governed by an executive board responsible for membership coordination, research project development, academic event organization, and the evaluation of new membership applications. The administration works to ensure active participation, transparency, and collaboration among all members.

The Turkic World Music Research Society warmly invites researchers, academics, and students working in the field of musicology and related disciplines across the Turkic World to become members of our society.
Membership offers an opportunity to join an international network of scholars, collaborate on joint research projects, contribute to scientific publications, and participate in academic events such as symposiums, workshops, and online seminars organized by the society.
